Project Brutality 3.0: A Standalone Mod for Doom and Its Expansions
Project Brutality 3.0 is a mod for Doom and its expansions that aims to enhance the gameplay, graphics, sound, and atmosphere of the classic first-person shooter. It started as an addon for Brutal Doom, but has since evolved into its own standalone project with many new features and improvements.
Some of the features of Project Brutality 3.0 include:
Realistic gore, dismemberments, headshots, executions, and blood effects
Dynamic lighting, shadows, particles, and weather effects
New and improved weapons, enemies, bosses, and levels
Customizable gameplay options and difficulty settings
Support for GZDoom and Zandronum engines
Project Brutality 3.0 is still a work in progress and is updated on a semi-regular basis on GitHub. The mod is not meant to be representative of the final version and may contain bugs and unfinished content. However, it is playable and enjoyable for fans of Doom and Brutal Doom who want to experience a new level of brutality and immersion.

Project Brutality 3.0 offers a variety of gameplay modes and options to suit different preferences and playstyles. You can choose from several difficulty levels, ranging from easy to brutal, and customize the enemy spawn rate, damage, health, and behavior. You can also enable or disable features such as friendly fire, headshots, executions, dual wielding, reloading, and more.
The mod also supports a wide range of maps and levels, both official and fan-made. You can play through the original Doom and Doom II campaigns, as well as the expansions such as Sigil, TNT: Evilution, and The Plutonia Experiment. You can also try out some of the popular community-made map packs, such as Maps of Chaos, Hell on Earth Starter Pack, Scythe 2, Alien Vendetta, and more. Project Brutality 3.0 adds new enemies and bosses to these maps, as well as new secrets and surprises.
One of the most noticeable aspects of Project Brutality 3.0 is the improved graphics and sound. The mod uses advanced features of the GZDoom and Zandronum engines, such as dynamic lights, shadows, reflections, bloom, motion blur, ambient occlusion, and more. The mod also adds new textures, sprites, models, animations, and effects to enhance the visual quality and realism of the game. The sound design is also impressive, with loud and beefy gun sounds, realistic environmental sounds, atmospheric music tracks, and improved voice acting.
